Dave Rosene
Certified Arborist & General Manager
A graduate of Kent State University (1979), Dave has worked in numerous capacities in the green industry since the early 1980s. His experience includes work with plant materials at the Holden Aboretum in Ohio and five years as Grounds Manager at the Woodberry Forest School of Virginia. In addition to providing our client estimates and consultations, Dave is asked to consult on arboricultural issues throughout Central Virginia. He is our day-to-day operations manager and oversees the entire production staff at VYTC.
Sam Miller
Certified Arborist & Production Supervisor
Sam is an Albemarle County native and has worked in the tree care industry in Central Virginia since 2001. Sam joined the Company in 2003 after working for a local competitor for several years. He oversees all aspects of scheduling work and is the functional day to day supervisor for VYTC crews. Sam is also a registered pesticide technician who is quickly building his skill at diagnosing problems and proposing solutions that can efficiently resolve pest or disease problems. Sam is the Company expert on lightning protection systems on homes and in trees.
Paul Lanctot
Certified Arborist & Crew Leader
Paul has been in tree care since 1995, joining the Van Yahres team in 1998. He brings a love for trees and the outdoors to his work and has developed pruning skills that are second-to-none.
Jeremy Thompson
Certified Arborist & Crew Leader
Jeremy learned tree work at Van Yahres Tree Company after joining our team in 2002. After training with some of our most experienced arborists, Jeremy quickly worked to receive his certification from the ISA and is among our most efficient and accomplished crew leaders.
Kenny Bright
Arborist
Kenny joined our crew in 2007 after having worked in the area in tree care and landscape management. He is a skilled arborist and hard worker and is an integral member of our team.
Greg Groff
Arborist
Greg joined the Company 2006 after working for a local competitor for 10 years. He has a vast knowledge of tree care and safety protocols, and has proven himself as a dedicated worker and valuable asset to the Company.
